Knockety wanted a digital storefront that matched the elegance and craftsmanship of their doors. After seeing the success of AOC’s work on their sister brand BarnDoorz, they wanted a refined version of the same design system, adapted for a completely different product line.
Their existing store lacked the polish, structure, and conversion flow needed for high-ticket home improvement products. Navigation felt dated, product discovery required too many steps, and core pages didn’t clearly communicate quality or value.
They needed a modern, reliable BigCommerce experience that reflected the premium nature of the brand while improving usability across desktop and mobile.

Our Approach
Our team began by replicating the BarnDoorz website design, adapting the template to suit Knockety's unique brand and product offerings. We then focused on enhancing key areas of the site, including the header and footer, homepage, category pages, product pages, and the about us page. We also optimized the transactional email template and performed a user experience evaluation to identify areas for improvement. Finally, we implemented quick fixes to address immediate usability issues, such as removing the newsletter popup, fixing spacing issues, correcting text alignment on mobile, resolving schema code errors, and fixing broken images.

Outcome
Knockety opened the door to higher conversions and a sharper digital presence with a refined BigCommerce design built on the proven BarnDoorz foundation. The updated layout, cleaner UX, and improved content structure allow their premium products to shine while creating a frictionless shopping experience that appeals to both homeowners and trade professionals. The result is a more trustworthy, visually polished, and conversion-ready platform aligned with Knockety’s craftsmanship and growth goals.
