Their legacy platform lacked modern UX structure, efficient search capabilities, and the stability needed for a catalog of this size. Navigation felt rigid, page layouts were outdated, and managing parts data required tedious manual work. Customers struggled to locate the correct items quickly, and the site performance made scaling increasingly difficult.
Southern Parts Warehouse needed more than just a facelift, they needed a modern ecommerce foundation: faster load times, cleaner product discovery paths, and a platform flexible enough to support new features and ongoing improvements.

Our Approach
We began by auditing the existing legacy system to determine how best to map products, categories, and navigation into BigCommerce’s architecture. After completing the data structure and template mapping, our design team created new, modern visual layouts that made parts discovery easier and improved the overall merchandising strategy.
During development, we introduced stronger visual hierarchy on the homepage, optimized category layouts, and implemented a structured search table with enhanced filtering powered by Searchanise. We also identified and resolved legacy bugs, fixed display issues, and improved UI components to make browsing faster and more intuitive. Every change was tested across desktop, tablet, and mobile to ensure smooth performance.

Outcome
The migration to BigCommerce delivered a significantly faster, cleaner, and more intuitive shopping experience. Customers can now locate OEM parts with far less friction, and the modern design makes the site feel more trustworthy and easier to navigate.
