Launch Context
NineDot was preparing to launch a new cannabis-infused beverage brand in a fast-developing category. The storefront needed to introduce an unfamiliar product type, support both ecommerce and retail discovery, and translate the brand’s early visual direction into a credible BigCommerce experience.
Built To Do More
The new storefront needed to establish the core systems required for launch:
The funnel did not have clear mid-funnel nurture, retargeting, and conversion campaign coverage.
Conversions were concentrated in branded Google Search, limiting visibility into the contribution of awareness activity.
Customer loyalty was not yet translated into a structured customer-creator UGC pipeline for paid creative.
Tax-season demand created seasonality, while budget decisions were reactive rather than organized around annual pacing.
Creative centered on a single buyer profile even though SMB owner-operators and mid-market finance buyers required different messaging.
Experience & Build Strategy
The build connected early brand development, product education, retail discovery, and ecommerce usability. The visual direction used a clean, modern presentation while the page structure focused on helping shoppers understand the category, the products, and the available purchase paths.

Key Build Decisions

Brand & Visual Foundation
Foundational branding elements, product-story positioning, and the website’s visual language were developed together so the new store could launch with a cohesive presentation.

Product Storytelling
Homepage, product-page, and informational content were structured to explain the beverage category and give first-time visitors clearer product context.

Retailer Discovery
A Find a Retailer experience and location tools were included to support customers looking for retail availability alongside direct ecommerce paths.

Navigation, Mobile & Components
Custom dropdowns, reusable widgets, navigation flows, and mobile layouts were implemented as part of the storefront foundation.
Launch Readiness
The build included the core homepage, product, retailer, navigation, and mobile experiences required for launch. The source does not document a formal launch QA checklist, testing coverage, or acceptance criteria in enough detail for a complete public-facing launch-readiness section. NineDot operates in a regulated cannabis category; any public claims about compliance-friendly messaging, regulatory compliance, product claims, or legal suitability require separate human/legal review.

Launch Outcome
NineDot launched with a BigCommerce storefront that brought together the new brand’s visual foundation, product education, ecommerce paths, retailer discovery, and reusable page structures. The outcome is presented as a completed launch foundation rather than a quantified performance result.
