Icon Sleep is a Floridan mattress pioneer that started selling mattresses-in-a-box in 2011. They maintained a low-profile approach, and kept the mattresses affordable. The company expanded their product line to include pillows, bed frames, and other bedding accessories.
What they asked
As Icon Sleep expands, they need a platform that has a seamlessly working product database for more than hundreds of beddings. Their website needed user experience (UX) and search engine optimization (SEO) for improved customer satisfaction.
Icon Sleep also wanted to enhance customer’s trust in their products through user-generated content. Additionally, a usable and easy to navigate site increases visit duration and purchase rates.
How we did it
To address the challenges faced by Icon Sleep, AOC suggested focusing on re-platforming its site and improving the customer experience. Here are initiatives taken by our team:
- Unique value proposition:
Icon Sleep needed to differentiate itself from competitors. They created a unique value proposition by offering a “100 Night Sleep Trial” that allows customers to try out the mattress risk-free. If they are not satisfied, they can return it for a full refund. This helped build trust and confidence in their products.
- Customer reviews: To build trust, Icon Sleep encouraged customers to leave reviews of their products in the store. They also displayed reviews on the product pages, providing social proof and helping customers feel confident in purchasing.
- User-friendly website: Icon Sleep worked with our Development and Design team to optimize the site for usability and navigation. They made it easy for customers to browse and compare mattresses, view product details, and make purchases.
