Why the Migration
mTrigger needed to move from WordPress/WooCommerce to Shopify as the existing site became difficult to maintain and less effective at presenting a specialized medical-device offering. The migration also needed to protect a substantial library of educational content while creating clearer product and practitioner pathways.
What Had to Be Protected
The transition needed to account for several high-value content and commerce elements:
The existing blog library, article structure, images, and categories.
URLs, metadata, and organic search equity built through educational content.
Product information and the content hierarchy used to explain the device.
Coupon and discount workflows used by the business.
Analytics continuity and technical tracking setup.
Practitioner-specific informational content.
Migration Plan
The work combined content migration, Shopify architecture, UX/UI redesign, product-data improvements, and search-preservation measures.
1. Map the existing WooCommerce content and storefront into a Shopify structure.
2. Transfer the blog library through Cart2Cart while retaining its organization.
3. Design a new homepage and practitioner-focused informational pages.
4. Use custom metafields and standardized content structures on product pages.
5. Map URLs and metadata and implement redirects as part of the search-preservation work.
6. Verify analytics and complete technical cleanup around launch.

Build & Transfer

Blog & Content Migration
The blog library was moved into Shopify with attention to URLs, images, categories, metadata, and content presentation. A fallback-thumbnail system was added for older content.

UX/UI & Practitioner Paths
The homepage and informational experiences were rebuilt with a clearer hierarchy, product-demo video, educational sections, and practitioner-specific paths for audiences including PT, OT, and ATC users.

Product Content
Product pages received custom metafields, standardized imagery, and clearer content segmentation to support a more structured clinical presentation.

SEO, Redirects & Analytics
URL mapping, metadata work, redirects, analytics verification, and technical cleanup were included around the migration. These activities are not presented as proof of zero visibility loss or complete SEO preservation.
Launch Validation
Analytics verification and technical cleanup were completed as part of the launch work.

Post-Migration Outcome
mTrigger launched on Shopify with its educational content library, practitioner pathways, product-content structure, and updated visual system incorporated into the new environment. The result is presented as a completed platform and content transition rather than as proof of specific engagement, conversion, or ranking gains.

It was great working with the always commerce team! They were quick to respond, and helpful with feedback. Their process was very organized and clear and they were successful in the ultimate task of migrating our website smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone!
