Why the Migration
CSM Performance needed to move from WordPress to Shopify after an earlier migration attempt stalled before producing a usable storefront. The new project had to establish a working Shopify architecture, rebuild the customer-facing experience, reorganize product data, and reduce search risk during the platform change.
What Had to Be Protected
The migration requirements included several assets and functions that needed to carry forward or be accounted for:
Existing URL structure, metadata, and organic search equity.
Product information, pricing, variants, and catalog organization.
Brand presentation across the core storefront templates.
Bundle functionality and product-option add-ons.
Major purchasing flows needed for a functional launch.
Migration Plan
The transition combined platform architecture, search-preservation planning, UX/UI design, product-data restructuring, and feature implementation.
1. Audit the WordPress storefront and map required templates, features, and data into Shopify.
2. Map URLs and metadata and prepare 301 redirects as part of the search-preservation work.
3. Design core storefront pages in Figma before development.
4. Restructure and validate product information, pricing, variants, and catalog organization.
5. Implement bundles and product-option add-ons before launch.

Build & Transfer

Shopify Architecture & UX/UI
Core pages were designed in Figma and implemented on Shopify using the Concept theme, with layout hierarchy and product-discovery improvements incorporated into the new storefront.

Product Data & Catalog
Product information, pricing, variants, and catalog organization were restructured and reviewed as part of the transfer into the new Shopify environment.

Redirects
URL mapping, metadata migration, and 301 redirects were included as preservation measures during the platform transition. These measures are not presented as proof that all rankings or organic visibility were fully preserved after launch.

Bundles & Product Options
The Shopify build included the documented bundle functionality and product-option add-ons required for the product experience.
Launch Validation
Product information was validated and major purchasing flows were tested before launch.

Post-Migration Outcome
CSM Performance launched on Shopify with the core templates, product-data structure, bundles, and product-option functionality included in the documented scope. The case study also records the following commercial results:
Conversion Rate
75 %
Average Order Value
55 %
Customers
156 %
Date Period: July 01 - Sep 30, 2025 VS Apr 01 - Jun 30, 2025.
The relationship later expanded into ongoing SEO support, but the migration case remains focused on the platform transition and launch.

“Always Open Commerce successfully implemented our new Shopify website and made the requested design updates and product data customizations. The team ensured effective communication through virtual meetings, email, and project management app. The project delivery was on time and on budget.”
