Why It Was A Fit
ChurchBanners.com was looking for more than a one-time BigCommerce redesign. The existing storefront had an outdated theme, cluttered navigation, and a product-discovery experience that required too many steps. After an extended search across multiple BigCommerce agencies, the brand wanted a partner that could improve the storefront and continue supporting CRO, search, email, and optimization after launch.

Ongoing Priorities
The Monthly engagement centered on a set of connected, recurring priorities:
Improve storefront usability and simplify navigation across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Make product discovery clearer and faster for banner shoppers.
Modernize page hierarchy, promotional placement, and conversion pathways.
Address technical SEO/GEO, metadata, and backlink opportunities.
Improve key email flows for cart recovery and nurture.
Monitor performance and continue prioritizing optimization opportunities over time.
The Engagement
The work combined a major storefront improvement initiative with ongoing Monthly support. Always Open Commerce used CRO/UX findings to guide the redesign, while SEO/GEO, email, and post-launch monitoring continued alongside storefront improvements so the engagement did not end at implementation.

What We Improved Over Time

CRO/UX Audit & Theme Upgrade
The engagement began with a CRO/UX audit focused on navigation, homepage structure, category experiences, and calls to action. The store was then upgraded to a newer Cornerstone theme with a clearer hierarchy and more modern storefront presentation.

Product Discovery & Mobile UX
Navigation and category experiences were simplified to reduce unnecessary steps in product discovery. Mobile behavior was also included in the redesign so the browsing experience could work more consistently across devices.

SEO/GEO & Technical Cleanup
The ongoing scope included technical cleanup, metadata updates, backlink work, and broader SEO/GEO improvements intended to support organic visibility alongside the storefront changes.

Email Flow Optimization
Key email flows were rebuilt to support cart recovery and customer nurture as part of the broader Monthly program.

Ongoing Monitoring
Performance monitoring continued after the redesign so CRO, search, and other improvement opportunities could be reviewed over time rather than treated as a one-time launch checklist.

Notable Wins
The redesigned storefront introduced clearer navigation, product discovery, hierarchy, and mobile behavior.
Site traffic increased 39.97% between April 2024 and September 2025.
For the documented 5.5-month post-launch period from Feb 10 – Jul 24, 2025, traffic decreased 5.95% while revenue increased 2.73%, conversion rate increased 18.5%, total orders increased 8.93%, and customers increased 11.44%.
The engagement extended beyond the redesign into ongoing CRO, SEO/GEO, email, and monitoring work.
Looking Ahead
The relationship continued beyond the redesign through Monthly CRO, SEO/GEO, email, and performance-monitoring support, creating an ongoing optimization model rather than a one-time storefront project.
