Launch Context
The Roots Company needed to recover a delayed ecommerce launch after an earlier independent-consultant engagement left the new B2B distributor without a functional storefront and a four-week market window. The replacement build started from a mostly blank BigCommerce Enterprise environment and needed to support wholesale account approval, tiered pricing, a catalog of roughly 200 SKUs with packaging variations, and core business-system integrations.
Built To Do More
The B2B storefront needed to satisfy several launch requirements:
Launch within the documented four-week window.
Support account registration and manual approval for wholesale buyers.
Configure customer groups, price lists, and order-volume pricing logic.
Organize roughly 200 SKUs and package variations for wholesale browsing.
Connect BigCommerce with QuickBooks Online and Zoho CRM.
Create a maintainable BigCommerce foundation for future catalog and customer growth.
Experience & Build Strategy
The project used parallel design, development, data, and integration work to compress the launch schedule. Adobe XD was used to map the B2B user journey while the BigCommerce B2B features, catalog structure, and integrations were configured at the same time.

Key Build Decisions

B2B Access & Pricing
Registration, approval, customer-group, and tiered-pricing logic were configured around the wholesale buying model.

Catalog Structure
Approximately 200 SKUs and their package variations were organized for the new storefront.

Business-System Integrations
QuickBooks Online and Zoho CRM were incorporated into the project so the ecommerce environment could connect with the documented accounting and CRM workflows.

Theme & Front-End Experience
The Beautify Grocery theme was used as the storefront foundation while the team completed the B2B interface required for launch.
Launch Readiness
The project was organized around the four-week deadline, with design, data, development, and integration work running in parallel.
Production validation covered QuickBooks Online, Zoho CRM, account approval, pricing logic, checkout, and the complete in-scope SKU set before launch.

Launch Outcome
The Roots Company launched a BigCommerce Enterprise B2B portal within the documented four-week project window. The completed experience supported wholesale registration and approval, customer-specific pricing structures, the in-scope catalog, and the business-system integrations included in the project.
