The Challenge
TYE Medical wanted a modern, user-centered BigCommerce experience that matched the quality of their products. Their existing store looked dated, lacked hierarchy, and made product discovery harder than it needed to be. After vetting multiple BigCommerce agencies, including higher-priced firms, they chose Always Open Commerce for our stronger proposal, tighter process, and flexible Free-Agency™ pricing model.
They needed a partner who could redesign the entire shopping experience, improve clarity throughout the funnel, and create a UI that was trustworthy, clean, and optimized for their medically sensitive customer base.

Project Goals
Complete a full BigCommerce redesign focused on modern UX/UI.
Rebuild key templates, including the homepage, PDPs, category pages, and key content/education areas.
Improve navigation and user pathways to reduce friction and confusion.
Introduce a more intuitive layout with stronger visual hierarchy.
Redesign calls-to-action for clarity and increased conversions.
Improve mobile usability for an older demographic that relies heavily on phones.
Our Approach
We began with a detailed UX/CRO audit to identify friction points across navigation, product discovery, readability, mobile flow, and accessibility. Our design team then created polished Figma concepts for the key templates, applying a calming medical-grade visual direction built around clean blues, strategic green accents, trustworthy typography, and improved spacing for readability.
Once approved, our developers rebuilt the store on the latest Cornerstone framework, modernizing layouts, restructuring navigation, tightening PDP information hierarchy, and implementing clearer CTAs across the funnel. Throughout the process, we preserved existing SEO value and optimized the site structure for stronger long-term ranking potential.

Outcome
TYE Medical’s redesigned BigCommerce store now delivers a smoother, clearer, and more trustworthy shopping experience for customers navigating sensitive product needs. Strategic UX enhancements, stronger visual hierarchy, optimized flows, and modernized templates collectively improved conversion rates and organic performance.
With a cleaner structure and a more intuitive interface, the new site supports both immediate sales growth and long-term brand trust, two essential pillars for a healthcare-focused ecommerce business.
