Launch Context
38North needed to launch a premium Shopify experience for curated furniture and décor packages rather than a conventional item-by-item catalog. The storefront had to support a condensed launch timeline, communicate a high-touch service model with limited visual assets, and create a direct online path for customers purchasing complete home packages.
Built To Do More
The new storefront needed to support several launch requirements:
Build and launch the Shopify experience on the project timeline.
Present curated home packages instead of relying on an individual-item shopping model.
Use typography, whitespace, and brand storytelling to create a premium presentation with a limited asset library.
Provide a clear purchase path for high-value package selections.
Allow the team to add communities, styles, and future imagery as the business expands.
Experience & Build Strategy
The build used an asset-light, minimalist design system that emphasized clear service tiers, package selection, and brand storytelling. Shopify was configured around the package-based buying model so customers could select the relevant home size and style within the storefront experience.

Key Build Decisions

Premium, Asset-Light Design
Typography, whitespace, and a restrained visual hierarchy were used to establish the desired premium presentation without depending on a large image library.

Package-Based Shopping
The storefront was organized around complete home packages and their selection logic rather than conventional single-product browsing.

Community & Style Expansion
The content structure was designed so additional communities, styles, and imagery could be added as the portfolio evolves.
Launch Readiness
The storefront was completed for the condensed market-launch timeline.
Launch validation covered package-selection flows, responsive behavior, app-supported functionality, and the core acceptance criteria required for the storefront to go live.

Launch Outcome
38North launched a Shopify storefront organized around its curated home-package model, premium brand presentation, and direct online ordering path. The completed build provides a customer-facing foundation that can accommodate additional communities and styles as the business evolves.
